Let’s Make DIY Marbleized Ornaments
Making Ornaments for Christmas can take on a new twist by making ornaments that look like giant Marbles.
This is an easy way to create custom ornaments with your family and match your home decor.
Let’s Make DIY Marbleized Ornaments. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, but for so many good reasons we all get so busy that we forget to enjoy family time and create new memories. This is one project that everyone can do together. Toddlers, teens and all the rest that are young at heart. The best part of all, is that it only takes a few minutes to create these wonderful marbleized masterpieces.
Here is what you’ll need: clear plastic ornaments, acrylic paint, assorted ribbons about 2 yd per ornament, scissors and a solo cup, and a paper towel
Start by removing the silver clamp on the top and set aside. Simply pour your choice of colors, cover the top with a paper towel and shake the paint around. You can get so many different looks by rolling the ornament very slowly in your hand, or tapping it and watch the paint splatter. Because you really cannot control the outcome they all take on a look of their own. Let no one say I’m not creative. This is one anyone can do and the outcome is beautiful.
Try this little twist for your tree this year. By adding paint that matches the color scheme of your home, you can create fabulous trees with that designer look. You’ll love it so much you may never want to take it down. Invite the girls over for a holiday girls night out and send them home with something to remember. But don’t stop there you can make these great ornaments for other occasions as well. Or create color coordinated ornaments in a 2 inch size and attach them to lighting strands for patio lights.
My wish for you this holiday season is that you create something that will last beyond the ornaments, the tinsel and trees. Create memories that you will treasure forever.
