Let’s make artwork into note cards

Turn art into note cards

What a great way to save family art projects

Turning art into not cards was not anything I had thought of doing, but recently my husband and I were going through art projects that were made by our kids over the years. As we were making boxes to pass on to each one, part of me didn’t want to let them go.  For both of us it brought back memories.  Quickly before I packed them up I took photos and next thing you know I had made note cards with family art.

This is a really fun project either to do with or for your family. With only a few tools you can create great gifts for family members.

Start by taking photos of some of your favorite pictures, created by kids, grand kids, or your own work if you prefer. Crop the photos to 4 x 6 inches in  power point or another software program.

Print them out on an 8.5 inch piece of card stock. Trim to a 5 x 7 folded card. I use a great tool made by Martha Stewart with a scoring board and paper trimmer. This not only trims the cards , but also comes with a scoring tool for making a perfect fold.

Purchase 5 x 7 envelopes which normally come about 5.25  x 7.25 to fit your cards. Put them in a great box with a ribbon and your ready for gifting. These are great for any time of year when you want to send something that has special meaning. I love the idea of doing this for my mom for mothers day.
